A list of 4 small changes that make a big impact on your writing experience with Fika

Table of contents
As always, we have been busy behind the scenes adding new features to Fika and making small changes to improve your experience on the platform. This article is one of many to come to help you understand these changes and how to use them to make writing on Fika easier than ever.
Change image sizes to fit your needs
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. As writers, we might debate that, but the right image can certainly strengthen a story.

Images help your writing stand out. Used well, they make your post more engaging and visually appealing.
You can now change your image size in Fika. Choose between three predefined sizes: small, medium, and big.
Adjust each image to match your post's structure and mood, making your visuals work well with your words.
Write faster with voice dictation
Great ideas rarely arrive when you are sitting perfectly still at a desk. With voice dictation, you can write without using your fingers.

Inspiration can hit anytime, often while you’re out for a walk, washing dishes, commuting to work, or lying awake at night. With our new voice dictation feature, you can start writing without typing a single word.
Simply speak your thoughts and let Fika turn them into text. It’s a faster way to capture ideas before they disappear, helping you keep up with your stream of consciousness. Whether drafting a quick note, editing or outlining a post, or even writing an entire piece on the go, voice dictation makes it effortless.
React with emojis
Writing online can sometimes feel like speaking into the void. You write something personal, gather your courage to finally click publish, and then wait. With emoji reactions, readers have an easy way to respond.

It’s a small feature, and emojis aren’t a replacement for true discussion, but they make writing feel more connected. Even a single emoji can say, “I’m here.”
Subscribers can react to your posts with the emojis you choose. A heart. A fire. A clap. Or even a good old-fashioned “thumbs-up."
Navigate your subscription feed

We didn’t want to break the flow of good content. Previously, after finishing a post, readers had to leave the page and return to their subscription feed to find the next piece to read. It interrupted the momentum.
Now, we’ve added previous and next arrows directly inside the post view so you can keep reading without breaking the flow. With one click, readers can move forward or backward through their subscription stream with constant access to new articles.
Happy writing!
We hope these four updates help you write more.
Fika is a place for writers who want a distraction-free space to focus on their craft, and for readers who want content created for a human audience.
